Sophia is broken
She fell out of her bed on Wednesday night and landed on her elbow. We thought she was ok. She got up Thursday morning and her arm was swollen from the Elbow down. Her little fingers looked like sausages. Off to statcare we went and they took pictures and guess what? She broke both of her bones in her elbow. So, we had to wait until 4pm and take her to a Orthopedic. They casted her and she has to wear it for 3 weeks. Hopefully if all goes well she should not have to wear it any longer.
She is absolutely miserable. All day Thursday she kept saying "Mommy hold me, I'm Broke" It broke my heart. Last night when we got home she kept saying "Mommy, I'm done, take it off" She doesn't really understand that she can't take it off and has to wear it until it's better. She went to sleep pretty good but was up at 530 this morning. She can't find a comfy spot.
I know accidents happen, but I gotta tell you when it's broke and "mommy kisses" can't fix it. It is just devastating, because Mommy kisses are supposed to fix everything.

Oh, no! So sorry to see that Sophia is hurt! I know she is uncomfortable, but she looks so proud of her cast!
Poor Sophie! It is so sad when they are hurt. Brenda had a broken arm last year, had it in a cast for 6 weeks, and let me tell you the novelty wore off very soon!

Oh no... poor Sophia!! My Sophie had a cast this year too... it is not so much fun for them. I hope her elbow heals up quickly and that cast will be a cute little momento of how tiny she was someday!

Poor Sophie and Mommy. I know how you feel. You want to take all their pain and hurt. I hope she mends quickly.
Savannah would be going out of her mind saying "off" and "all done." I feel for you. It is so hard when they are so little and don't understand.

Poor Sophie! Brayden used to fall out of bed All the time...I never even thought he would do any serious damage. I hope she adusts well to the cast and the next three weeks go quickly.

Oh How Sad ... poor little Sophie! What a bummer ... her purple cast is quite stylish though ... I hope she feels better soon ... Jaden broke both bones in her wrist last summer and had a cast on for 8 weeks ... it was horrible at first but got better once friends and family signed her cast! Good Luck! Have a great weekend!

I broke my elbow on our pickup trip - I call it my "labor pain". If you think it will help, show Sophie my blog, I'll post a pic of my pink cast.
For me, it felt okay when I was in the cast but when they took it off - yeeeeeeooooowwwwww. It was worse pain than when I originally broke it, but that only lasted a day.

Oh poor lil girl! F has broken each of his arms so I can fully understand what you guys are going through! A little bit of advice - don't let her play with Playdoh until the cast comes off. Playdoh smells bad straight out of the can...try it after 3 weeks in a sweaty cast! YUCK!!!
I am so sorry! I hope she finds her comfy spot soon. At least they come in fun colors right???? It could be ugly whit plaster like when we were kids. I'll keep praying for her!
Poor Sophie!!I am so sorry that she is in such pain and aggrivation! Poor Mommy and Sophie-hang in there-hopefully this will be a quick 3 weeks!!
Been there, done that-TWICE!!! (in less than a year I might add. Cassie broke her elbow in two places, then her forearm in two places.) It is so hard for them to get comfy and understand it doesn't come off. That is one things the mommy's can't kiss away. You will be amazed at what she can do with it on though. I hope it is only three weeks. Cassie was older, so she was in hers for 12 weeks both times.--We won't talk about that.

Oh NO, the poor pumpkin. There is nothing worse than seeing your little one in pain (been there, done that). But mommy's kisses have a special "healing" effect ;-)
